Theatre Kids Australia exists to facilitate quality and inspirational experiences for young people through the world of theatre. We work with schools, teachers, professional and amateur companies to create and design programs for pre-schoolers through to the senior years. Services currently include the publication of Educational Resources for Theatre Productions, Education Consultancy, Workshops for Schools , Speech and Drama Lessons and Holiday and After School Programs in Music, Drama and Dance. We are passionate about the transformative power of the performing arts and work to use theatre to empower and inspire. Owner and director Hannah McCarthy-Oliver heads our team of highly experienced, successful and respected arts teachers.

SERVICES WE PROVIDE
Workshops and Lessons
Our highly experienced Drama, Dance and Music teachers, as well as professional actors and singers, work with students ages 5 through to 18, during school hours, after hours or for holiday sessions. Special classes are run for 3-4 year olds, in numerous locations. The Drama lessons taught in school time (1 hour - Primary and 1 hour 45 minutes - Secondary) are our most popular options. All instructors have police clearances and first aid training. Short sessions only valid for SA schools. We will travel to regional locations if 1-3 day sessions are required. Educational Resources - For Theatre and Arts Companies
We work with professional and amateur theatre/arts companies from around Australia, to create customised educational publications for productions and events. Starting from simple summary worksheets, through to extensive study guides, activity books and publications. All exercises are linked to the themes, historical relevance, design and experiences from a show or event. They are crafted to tie in with the Australian Curriculum, IB and other High School Certificate requirements. Teachers love quality and functional resources they can use in their classrooms! We are happy to work within your company budgets.
Education Consultancy
We have trained arts specialists/educators working in our team who have vast experience and knowledge of educational trends, standards and requirements. They can be engaged to advise on new works in regards to relevance, themes, appropriateness and accessibility for students aged 4 to 18 years.
School Production Gurus
Need assistance staging your next school production? We have well seasoned directors and producers on hand to advise or lead your team in any way that is useful. We can offer "How To" and "Process" PD sessions for staff, technical and design advice, run rehearsals or even direct your entire show. Whatever you need - we can help!
